Applications are currently being accepted for Lifeguards & Swim Instructors Please note, all applicants will be sent a pre-interview screening to complete. Locations: City Wide Schedule: Varies Rate: Lifeguard - $18.70 | Swim Instructor - $20.20 Note: Wet interviews will take place at Dufferin Clark CC and Woodbridge Pool Qualifications: *be eligible to work in Canada. *be at least 15 years of age. *be Standard First Aid and CPR-C certified. * Lifeguard: National Lifeguard Certificate * Instructor: Lifesaving AND Swim Instructor, Bronze Cross OR National Lifeguard Certificate. Lifeguard Responsibilities: -Provide excellent customer service. -Ensure the pool operates in accordance with all regulations. -Assist with staff training. -Respond to emergencies. -Attend all scheduled orientation and training sessions. -Perform other related aquatic duties as assigned. Swim Instructor Responsibilities: -Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with Lifesaving Society (LSS) program standards. -Maintain current instructional awards in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. -Prepare a core plan along with daily lesson plans for all assigned instructional programs. -Be familiar and practiced with the City of Vaughan aquatic emergency procedures. -Perform other related aquatic duties as assigned.
