About this Course

Applications are currently open for Program Assistant III - Gymnastics. Location: North Thornhill CC. Schedule: Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm until March 6th Position Type: scheduled Rate/Hour: $18.70 Qualifications: - Current holder of Standard First Aid/CPR-C - Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screening - Experience with relevant program area Roles & Responsibilities: - Implements a comprehensive general interest or specialty program. - Responsible for implementing lesson plans for each class. - Instruction is progressive in nature (becomes more complex and/or builds on skills/concepts learned previously). - Ensures the supervision, safety & wellbeing of participants. - Ensures set-up and take down of equipment before and after the program. - Documents and communicates any incident/accidents that occur to the Recreation Lead. - Excellent customer services skills with the ability to remain calm during difficult situations and resolve conflicts tactfully.
